The strongMedical/strong application was designed for building 3D NURBS models from tomogram slices. In this application new algorithms for slice bound recognition was introduced offering a new method of building smooth 3D surfaces.
The application, developed with Microsoft Visual C++, consists of five main components: GDI user interface, OpenNURBS wrap library, OpenNURBS open source library, 3D models builder, and slice bound recognition module.
For viewing 3D models, external strong3DmViewer /strongapplication is used.
This architecture is optimized to provide a simpler development effort and is further modifications.
The final product has a small but efficient engine and user-friendly interface.
