The Medical application was designed for building 3D NURBS models from tomogram slices. In this application new algorithms for slice bound recognition was introduced offering a new method of building smooth 3D surfaces.


The application, developed with Microsoft Visual C++, consists of five main components: GDI user interface, OpenNURBS wrap library, OpenNURBS open source library, 3D models builder, and slice bound recognition module.


For viewing 3D models, external 3DmViewer application is used.


This architecture is optimized to provide a simpler development effort and is further modifications.


The final product has a small but efficient engine and user-friendly interface.
